    Lacy vs. Bell?

Seems to me that last year, some on this board were wishing the Steelers could have drafted Eddie Lacy instead of LeVeon Bell. Is there anyone left who would still say that?

I don't think the Steelers could have made a better choice than they did with that pick.

Eh, I don't know. They both pretty good, but Bell is so far playing better in 2014....

Out of all RB's though, they had Shady in their own back yard a few years ago, and passed. You think they'd pay more attention to who is in their state. Bishop McDevitt HS out of Harrisburg puts out some good athletes...Ricky Watters, etc...

Anyway, don't get me wrong- I'm happy w/ Bell....

Pre-Draft, since the day Tomlin took BELL to dinner and his mom too. I had a great feeling about him.. even MAMA BELL said, "Son, your gonna be a STEELER"..... He's was always my fav pic of that draft and I'm glad he's proving the NAYSAYERS wrong...

I like the one we chose, although Eddie Lacy is pretty darn good too...

The fact he is a complete back with blocking and receiving skills just makes him a very valuable asset. Add to that with the weight loss and now some speed along with the fact he doesn't put the ball on the ground and we have a star in the making. Today we may be comparing Bell and Lacy but not long from now we could be comparing Bell with McCoy!

I was always excited to have drafted Bell and Jarvis Jones being my favorite pick..I've changed my mind..Bell is officially my favorite pick! Glad we have him and is better than Lacy!

Hindsight - they had just drafted Mendenhall the year before.

I wish I drafted Le'Veon Bell instead of Eddie Lacy with the 5th overall pick in my fantasy league at work.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

To your defense Ruthless, there was reason to believe Blount would be stealing some TDs from Bell.

                    That was my logic...

Both are great backs. I worried about Lacy's foot pre draft and felt Bell was more well rounded...hence the lean towards Bell. But, I will say this again, Bell was successful behind questionable OL's his entire college career. He seemed to find ways to be productive. Can you imagine what will happen if the Steelers block for him like this game in and game out? That 2000 total yards I was talking about doesn't seem so unreasonable anymore.

Bell is a more complete back ... perfect for Haley.
The fact that he's a pass catching threat is good for Ben. Who remembers the days when Ben wouldn't throw to a RB unless he was under heavy pressure??

As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

At the end of last season, you'd have had to give the nod to Lacy, obviously. But now that Bell and the OL has found their sea legs, he is gonna blow Lacy out of the water, who is starting to appear a little bit ding risky. And something just ain't clicking with the Pack this year.

I thought they were pretty comparable last season...Lacy had almost 200 more yards from scrimmage and 3 more TDs, but also played in two more games than Bell.....
