    now be honest.....

after 6 quarters of nearly unwatchable football - who here had the steelers in a dominating performance? I'll admit before the game my brother asked me what i thought - and i said all signs pointed to the steelers getting shellacked, therefore they would likely win in a blowout, but I sure didn't mean it!

Next couple of games however may really give us the opportunity to gel the defense some more and bring along our young WR's.

oh, and for all the Ike haters out there - looks like we're gonna see what happens without him. I am very concerned about that.

    Agreed. Concerned.

And I thought we had no chance tonight. They stepped up big time.

Despite all the injuries this was a big win

Sad to see the Ike go.. He was frustrating with the lack of Picks but he was/is a True Steeler. As for the Steelers this was the perfect team for us to play to bounce back (They dont run the Zone Blocking Scheme).. We looked physical up front, Cam was playing his butt off. Cant remember the last time we beat a Qb up like that. The Offensive line and Bell look amazing.

Hoping that Shazier and Jones dont have to miss too much time.

In the "Carolina game predictions" thread I thought we would win 23-16 and stated that it was a good matchup for us. Our offense can move the ball on anyone but I did not think we would dominate them like we did.

I thought the Steelers O would look better. I thought the D wouldn't show up.

Better? Than 260+ yards rushing, no TOs and a QB rating of 112?

                Those are some high standards....
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Same here. I didn't see this D coming. Fires have been lit.

Mad props to the Oline and RB's too. Two 100 yard rushers? I didn't see that coming either. Wow. Is Munchak making his presence felt at this point?

I THINK He means that he thought for this game, the O would look better than against the RATS. 8 Quarters without a TD was becoming painful. But they turned it around big time.

I'm sure he means he thought the O would look better than the last 8 quarters

I didn't know what to expect, but it certainly wasn't that, especially controlling the LOS on both sides of the ball. Very impressive win.

Also concerned about Ike's injury, though. That's one of the thinnest areas on this team. If they can continue to get pressure up front, it might not be as big of a deal as it seems, but that pressure doesn't seem to be consistent game to game. Guess we'll see how it goes.

Let's not forget that we still couldn't score a TD for the entire 1st half. 3 field goals.

I'm with you on this one, the final score looks good, but the offense has a long way to go, IMO. What I do like about the offense is that it seems to be making improvements which should have them being very consistent for the last quarter of the season when playoff spots are won and lost.

The defense was a complete shock to bounce back after getting shellacked by Baltimore, mad props to the "D". Hmm, I wonder if Lebeau made any changes or if the players executed?
