..after two weeks. Oh my. Losses happen in the NFL, even to the best teams. Interesting that the Seattle defense had little answer for the pass-catching TE Gates. NFL opponents to Seattle, take note.
Seattle and Steelers have the Same Record

8-8!!!! Oh the horror!!!
Two years after losing to Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl, Seattle went 4-12, 5-11, 7-9, 7-9, while they rebuilt their team. A couple of 8-8 seasons is hardly scraping the bottom of the barrel.Comment

They also had a coaching change during that span.
That's hardly anything to cheer about.Last edited by BlitzTo7; 09-14-2014, 10:45 PM.Comment

"The standard is the standard." Anything short of a Lombardi is "below the line" here in Pittsburgh.Comment

Yeah, excuse me if I can't get too excited about another the prospect of another non-winning season.Comment

And fired their coach before rebuilding.
Your point being?Comment

The Steelers have only won one eighth of all Super Bowls ever played. That means they've been "below the line" seven eighths of the time, according to you. Maybe you need to lower your standards just a wee bit.sigpic

You guys have to be smart enough to get my point don't you?
Rebuilding a team to a Super Bowl level takes time. A couple of 8-8 seasons and people want to fire everyone? Good lord. I know this is the internet and not the "real world" but can we inject a dose of realism into this please?
If you can't see that this is a rebuild situation then I don't know what to tell you. Do you seriously look at the mix of brand new players, young guys and old guys on this roster, and think they should be rolling through each and every opponent? Talk about unrealistic expectations.Comment
