Considering the fact that we may have another Lamar Woodley contract on our hands with this stiff, what would be the contract and cap ramifications if he was to be released. I doubt that the front office would want to lose face over a move like this, but there has to be someone on someone's taxi squad that would be a better option. Just asking??

I didn't think anyone could be in Adams league when it comes to pass blocking. Gilbert may still prove serviceable. Adams remains a waist bender and I do not hold out much hope for that type of linemen who also has limited footwork in pass protection.
IMHO W Johnson is a better o lineman then Adams right now. He is a player who will be activated sooner rather then later this year.Comment

Let's not go that far.
Gilbert is more palatable than Woodley, if for no other reason than because I think he has more upside (younger and more durable). As said, Mike Adams is a terrible waist-bending chump who single-handedly loses games.I wasn't hired for my disposition.Comment

Here is the breakdown:

Cutting Gilbert would be a lot easier from a cap perspective than cutting Woodley, as long as they don't start restructuring. I don't think they should or will cut Gilbert, but that is the breakdown.Comment
