The Coaches are the main problem...

These problems all fall on Tomlin and his coaching staff...
His inability to build, lead, and have a team ready week after week.....is getting old

If this team fails to make the playoffs again should Tomlin get the boot?

Superbowl sized expectations for such a young team.....lol

No wonder the NFL world hates steeler fans

They might as well throw in the towel though, theres no chance to get better, and the ravens never ever ever win home games against the steelers, and all those power house rosters in the AFC like the patriots, colts, chiefs and chargers are looking like **** trying to avoid an 0-2 start.

Slowshon ran for 134 and 5.6 ypc on the patriots....peterson may crack 1000 yards by week 2 and they could start 0-2. guess they should quit too

Wait wait...I smell irony. You put up a post wanting to post blame on LeBeau then pat the guy on the back trying to give the coaching staff a break? What the? So basically, Tomlin is off limits...give him some excuses...young team etc. But, LeBeau needs to go? Please lead me through your logic on that one.

They all need to be looked at! Its a young team, Its an old team, there are teams all over this league who move guys in and out and don't miss a beat. The fact that we never get to the qb or force a turnover is due to scheme not a lack of talent, the fact that we don't throw down field is due to scheme not lack of talent. If you where to compare us to the seahawks you cant tell me that talent wise they head and shoulders above us. Man we just keep telling ourselves, this is the year lebeau's defense becomes the steel curtain, this is the year haleys offense will explode, this is the year tomlin will have us hungry for the playoffs, every year its a let down and every year its the same result. Watching teams beat us each week with the same gameplan is frustrating and its definitely a coaching issue.

There is zero doubt it's a coaching issue. LeBeau needs gone. I see just enough from Haley to hook me for more. Tomlin looks and sounds great in a press conference. But, as the HEAD coach he is responsible for those he supervises. If I supervised like Tomlin supervises I wouldn't have a job.

Well, Peterson won't be playing against New England this weekend after being arrested for child abuse after whipping his kid with a switch.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Even sitting at 1-1, the Steelers coaching staff should be feeling the pressure of another slow start to the year

By Neal Coolong on Sep 12 2014

They got a win, unlike their first four games last year, but the Steelers coaching staff has to be feeling the pressure of a team that's fallen back into the basement over their last six quarters of play.

The coaching staff is on the team. Players play and coaches coach but they all collectively feel the heat when they lose. Pittsburgh's 26-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens feels like two consecutive losses, even if they stand at 1-1.

A 10-3 halftime deficit grew to 26-6 before all was said and done. That put the Steelers' combined score over its last six quarters at 40-9, very reminiscent of a 2013 campaign in which the Steelers lost their first four games, competing - kind of - in two of those games with the defense surrendering an average of 27.5 points per game.

Through two games this year, it's 26.5 points per game.

Pressure to respond is mounting in a season in which the Steelers have now, officially, gotten off to a slow start on the defensive side of the ball for a fourth consecutive year. This team is left scrambling for answers which the motto "the standard is the standard" simply cannot cover. For the second straight year, the defense has failed to produce a takeaway in its first two games, and perhaps hitting a new low, they failed to register even a hurry against the quarterback (Joe Flacco in Thursday's case), let alone a sack.

The Steelers added athleticism to their secondary with the signing of free safety Mike Mitchell, but he has more personal-foul penalties (two) than passes defensed (0), and the secondary as a whole grabs and holds onto more facemasks than passes from the opposing quarterback. Ike Taylor dropped an interception in Week 1, Cortez Allen dropped one in Week 2. They've managed to get close to the ball on very few throws and teams are picking them apart underneath.

Figuring out exactly how to deal with this three-plus-year trend is an ongoing challenge and has been since the 2011 season. While they managed to knock passes down that year, they failed to register sacks, get interceptions or force fumbles. Now they're doing none of the above and the defense is left on the field gassed and weary, sometimes managing to hold up in the red zone and force the field goal.

The pressure is certainly there. Come Week 3, they're going to need to respond or this season might end up 2013 2.0.

Tomlin is feeling a bit of pressure. There is no doubt... ever since last year.

At this point, Haley (yikes) and Munchak are the best coaches we have.
Tomlin: Let's unleash hell and "mop the floor" with the competition.
