Are you comfortable with a head coach and DC who get "rattled" during games? I'm not. If you don't think at least PART of the problem is coaching, I don't know what to tell you. I thought, when they showed Tomlin and LaBeue on the sidelines, they looked like deer in headlights, and I was right. They flat out admitted it. Should guys approaching 80-years-old be in a major position, running half of a billion dollar entity? History says no. This will be 3 years in a row that the D is not up to snuff. And our coached are "rattled" on the sidelines. Guess what? You don't make adjustments when you are "rattled" - all you do is panic with indecision, which is what they did. Ben saved us again. How many games will Ben have to try to save us while our coaches are "rattled" on the sidelines? Are we going to be "rattled" tomorrow night in Balt?

    Way to misread a quote.

"We" refers to the players. It's way to share responsibility when something goes wrong. If you have ever managed people, you would get it.

I highly doubt LeBeau himself was 'rattled' at any point in that game.

Do you ever stop??? I know trolls are designed to get a reaction, well congrats...you did. Just stop already.

If watching this team brings you so little enjoyment, then I've got a tip for you. STOP WATCHING! You and squidkid and several others are relentless complainers who never seem happy with the Steelers. That's your prerogative. But like I said, if you hate watching this team so much, and you hate the coaches, and the players, and the owners, and the management team.....STOP FOLLOWING them.

Imagine how much happier you'll (we'll) be!
      Well said, and very appreciated.

To give them a free pass in this is short sighted at best. Poor coaching and poor execution led to the Browns come back.
We definitely made a mistake taking our foot off the gas in the second half...

But I also watched a lot of football on Sunday. Pats were blown out in the 2nd half, GB was blown put in the second half, Jacksonville gave up 33 points in the last 20 minutes and the Bronco's showed us how its done by barely hanging on to beat the Colts after being up 24-0.

I'm not too concerned about it. We have work to do but I think we are going to see a lot of comebacks and I dont think large leads are safe in this new NFL.

spoken for truth. it seems no lead is large enough in the modern NFL to be considered safe. especially with the insane no contact rules against WRs.

I gotta wonder why our guys were looking to the sidelines at the very moment the Stains were hiking the ball, multiple times. Hard to believe that coaching isn't at least partly to blame.

And, it's hard not to wonder why we were caught with our pants down, especially after the Eagles pre-season game.

I wish there were easy-sounding answers to these things ...

God forbid people give the other team's players and coaches credit. Those guys are professionals too with pride.

We were up 27 to 3 vs the Browns at home... it was too easy. Thank goodness we got a dose of reality before the Ravens game,

So apparently all the practices the defense has against Ben and the no-huddle hasn't helped one bit?

I would side with inexperienced players not completely comfortable with their role in the defense. I also think guys were pressing rather than playing smartly... would explain Troy's repeated crashing the line in hopes of making something happen.

                      Very frowned upon

Steelers could blow out the ravens this week but if pierce has one run over 20 yards and there's a missed tackle we can start calling for the coaches heads and blaming the ravens not bring fully in it because of the rice distractions

                            Its ok.

                            Seriously people, it's ok.

Don't you guys remember the thread started during the Indy-Broncos game about how Tomlin & Co had to watch a 'real coach' to see 'how it was done'?

I'm sure Tomlin & Co went and watched Busty Fox & learned how to blow opponants away as they were instructed to do by the enlightened ones of this board.

No more problems. The Steelers will follow in the footsteps of the Broncos & really put the foot to the throat from now on.

Tomlin's a smart guy. I'm sure he'll even mimmick Busty's facial expressions from now on so he doesn't resemble Bambi on the sideline. He might even hold classes for the rest of the coaches who clearly stand around all afternoon with inane looks of fear & bewilderment every time an opponant completes a First Down.

Because, you know- in the first half, the Cleveland Do Co-Ordinator looked cool as a cucumber, clearly knowing that he had the measure of the Steelers offense.

Only the Steelers coaching staff are this bad. It's why they always get the 1st pick of the NFL draft every year.
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

                            Light up the darkness.

They won't be rattled again, they should expect it at this point, but whether they can defend it or not has yet to be seen.
