Did you not see the shots of DL and MT on the sidelines? Deer caught in head lights. The COACHES were ALSO rattled. They weren't getting the plays in there on time. They had no idea how to react, while everything Cleveland tried worked over and over and over again.

It was game 1 and the Steelers got out of there out with a W against a divisional opponent! They've had time to digest some film and prepare for this week. Get a win here and New Orleans beats Cleveland and Atlanta beats Cincy and that's just about the best start scenario you can get with the AFC North. I'm fired up for tomorrow!

Hey, thanks for telling me what my PERSONAL preferences should be. I always need people to tell me what I should like and what I should do since I am incapable of determining those things for myself. What should my favorite color be? What is my favorite food? What kind of women should I find attractive? What part of the country will I most enjoy living? I post plenty of things where I express my pleasure about things Steeler in nature. I guess you conveniently missed those several hundred posts. Gee whiz, why is that?

This just in: I do not, and will not, enjoy a cluster fook performed by our coaches. It was embarrassing. But I guess in your world i should sniff glue and tell myself that 2nd half was wonderful and something to enjoy. Well, too bad. You don't have the right to decide how I should feel FOR ME. You might want to, but you can't. I am free to follow the team, and express displeasure when they screw up, and you can't change that. You aren't in control of others opinions, no matter how much you wish you could be. When I see a disastrous performance - to the level where the DC admits they were "rattled" - I am not going to be all super happy about it. But you can feel free to embrace the ineptitude and fall in love with it.

It figures you would reference "Vaudeville" as it comes from a time period you are familiar with and have lived. You are operating at a Dick Labeua speed, so I understand why you can't keep up. Enjoy!

For those claiming it is not a coaching problem. I offer exhibit A, the look on DL and MT's face while the Browns could do no wrong on offense. They looked lost, scared, confused, rattled......how can anyone not notice that?

So the players were rattled. Why were they rattled? Obviously, they were NOT PREPARED to face the no-huddle. Why were they not prepared? Who would be in charge of seeing to it that the Steelers' defensive players were prepared?


Why could the defensive staff not get the plays in in a timely manner? For FOUR CONSECUTIVE SERIES! Sounds to me as though it wasn't just the players, but the defensive coaching staff, that was unprepared.

I would say the young guys were the ones that were rattled. It happens. It's why rookies rarely start in the NFL.

That was probably more of a case of Cleveland being Cleveland and snatching losing out of the jaws of winning at the last second, as always.

Are you comfortable with a head coach and DC who get "rattled" during games? I'm not. If you don't think at least PART of the problem is coaching, I don't know what to tell you. I thought, when they showed Tomlin and LaBeue on the sidelines, they looked like deer in headlights, and I was right.

I know the look you are referring to here, with the wide open eyes. But the one I saw last week went beyond that, and Dick looked jacked up too, like they were just freaking out without any answers.

Come on guys...listen...the Eagles had their way with the Steelers in the preseason running no huddle. Why would the Steelers be shell shocked by it? I mean the coaches are responsible for going over it and preparing their team. Yes, the players have to play...but the coaches have to coach. To give them a free pass in this is short sighted at best. Poor coaching and poor execution led to the Browns come back.
