So, Cam Thomas is a better alternative than a rookie, it seems.
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Well, he's been rotating with Keisel, Heyward, and Tuitt at DE so far.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Since we are starting a rookie d-lineman for the first time since 2001, it probably wouldn't be a good idea to start 2 rookie DL for the first time in the same game (on the primetime MNF stage nonetheless). I'm fine with McCullers easing his way into playing time with McLendon out. It wouldn't be wise to start guy who has never even dressed for a real NFL game yet.

Yep. I'm hoping that Tuitt acquits himself well and takes the majority of the snaps.

            For another team.

Got to say, I hope he lights it up at NT vs. the Texans...but I don't think he will.

exactly, and not getting 43 snaps like he did the last game against the Browns...

It's injury related, at this point.

Love the title, "until we get a good nose tackle." I'm sure 16 other teaMS IN THE nfl SAY AND WANT THE SAME THING AND THERE LIES THE PROBLEM. tHE TYPE OF NOSE TACKLE lEbEAU WANTS ARE TOO FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. there IS A LOW PROBABILITY YOU CAN GET ONE SO WHY HAVE A DEFENSE PREDICATED ON SUCH A HIGH RISK PROPOSITION?

Because it works. If you run a business and you need an engineer with an MBA, do you completely change your business because the one you have isn't working out as perfectly as you want him (or her) to? Or do you keep running your business and find a new one?

Well, since that is my business I will tell you that we do not have our business so dependent on one type of engineer and we don't ask our other engineers to do things they aren't capable of doing. We assign engineers to projects where their skillsets can best be used as opposed to trying to force them onto projects where we know they can't do their best.

And if you don't have the correct engineer on the payroll? Do you just not take assignments from customers?

Its very simple why you don't see the type of nose tackles Lebeau wants and that's because teams don't power run anymore. If you put casey Hampton at nt against the zone blocking scheme he would be useless, NFL teams are not looking for big guys that clog the middle, they are looking for guys that are smaller, quicker, and agile enough to make plays moving laterally.

I've said it before...you could put Casey in his prime on this team right now, and it wouldn't make that much of a difference. Teams would still eat the Steelers' D alive in the zone stretch.

The BAL defense with Ngata at nose seems to be doing just fine against these 'modern offenses'.

That's all because of Ngata? I don't think so.
