Manny Sanders is going to blow up in Denver

And will that make Denver and Manning look superior to Pgh and Ben? I really don't care. Manning and Denver can have all the offensive stats they want; I only care about rings. And chances are, Manning will put up monster numbers and still not win another one.

I think rookie Cody Latimer is a better option as an outside receiver opposite Demaryius Thomas, pushing Sanders into the slot. When Wes Welker comes back from his 4 week suspension (during which he will also get the opportunity to fully recover from his preseason concussion), Welker will take back his slot position. Considering Manning will also throw a lot to TE Julius Thomas, as well as some screens and swing passes to Montee Ball, Sanders could be a forgotten man in that offense in short order.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I considered all that, but a few things:

1.) ES has looked super explosive so far. You can't ignore a player blowing up like that.
2.) I am not convinced WW won't continue to have concussion issues and have to miss most of the season if not retire. Once you start getting them regularly, you need to stop playing. He has had 3 in only 10 months, which most of those months he wasn't playing, so 3 in such a short period of playing time is not good. Chances are, he will get another when he returns. I certainly am not wishing it on him, but I have seen this movie before.

Did he miss any games last season?

I think Welker should retire, if he has any sense. This is his umpteenth concussion and the unfortunate effects of repeated concussions have been *very* well documented in recent times.
Playing one more game can't be more important than living out the rest of your life in non-vegetableness.

Apparently, a major symptom of multiple concussions is forgetting what drugs you took while at the Kentucky Derby.

Vulgar language is against board rules. You will receive a warning for your ribald rhetoric, or at least, you should.

It doesn't take a tough guy to keep playing when concussions start happening often; it takes a really, really dumb guy.

I wish all the best for Manny- same as I do for Mike Wallace. Manny seems to be in a better position. He's more "under the radar" and has a better team and QB to throw to him. On the other hand, Wallace's greater paycheck will probably be some consolation to him.

In the short term maybe. But another year like last for Mike and he will be flat out cut, while Manny will be very productive and at least keep his job, and maybe set up for another big contract due to the fact he will put up some solid # playing with Manning, just like Decker did. I don't wish Wallace well; he was an a hole his last year in Pgh. He didn't give full effort and was a locker room douche.

Seriously? Birt's adjustment was funny, and not mean-spirited in any way. What I enjoy about this board (other than the Steeler info, of course) is humorous banter like that among guys (as opposed to the annoying, petty battles with one another from behind a keyboard). I would suggest getting yourself a sense of humor instead of worrying so much about what the mods are and are not doing.

Calling some players "a hole" and "douche" is apparently okay but "Manny Sanders is going to blow in Denver" is vulgar. It's also okay to state that Troy and "LaBeue" have a gay relationship, and it's okay to laugh at a guy referred to as "Cockface". But it's the mods who are inconsistent here.
