We can only hope he punches his life partner twice and is forced to ban himself forever

Sucks, i did find it strange that he apologized though. Didnt see that coming, normally public outrage wouldnt bother him enough

LOVE that song and very appropriate, my wife and I just cranked it up and danced all around the room

I agree with you K Train. The uproar must have been a lot bigger than what we thought for him to apologize.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

            but Go Steelers!!!

The uproar was huge. The NFL was the top lede on many a feminist website for a day or two.

                No surprise at all.
He doesn't care about the game and criticism of his changes.
This kind of criticism, coming from outside of football is his WORST FEAR.
It has shaped every decision he has ever made EXCEPT for this one.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

while it's good they are addressing DV the way they went about it is all wrong.

I'm a little shocked by the backlash but then again, it was on video.

While the backlash was huge I thought it had already died down. I guess they did a few PR polls and realized women aren't watching as much due to the way this was handled.

I just heard a friend of mine, former NFL DB Mark Collins on a local sports show talking about this. And he has some major Issues with it, or questions about it. He wanted to know, does this apply to just players and NFL employees who are just married ? Or would it apply to say a NFL Players Girlfriend/Fiancee ?

Cause if it does, Mark went on...and even mentioned Ben Roethlisberger in his example that....any woman who might just be DATING a player, can easily just have ANYONE beat her up at a time when say she knows that said player is home, and has no real alibi, and then go to that player she is dating, and basically say to him...Hey, either pay me what I want, or I will call the police and say you did this to me. And Mark wanted to know...is just a report, or a allegation of an assault good enough for Goodell to just suspend that player 6 games ?...without no real judicial process ?....( Like in Ben's case ).....cause Mark was saying if that is the case, then he said this so called solution will create more problems then it will solve.

Mark Collins said that for a woman to say that a NFL player hit, or abused her is the easiest claim to make/fake on someone. And if Goodell is not going to afford said player his LEGAL right to a presumption of Innocence......then Collins said Goodell is a Idiot.

Interesting fans, I have to agree with my Bud Mark on this.
