Snoop Dogg goes off on Steelers OC Todd Haley

Snoop Dogg goes off on Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley

By Neal Coolong on Aug 21 2014

It's funny, and it makes you think (warning: language laps galore for Snoop).

Rap artist Snoop Dogg has been an outspoken fan of the Steelers in recent years - the years when the Steelers have been good. He made a strong comeback, oddly, during the Steelers' 31-21 loss at Philadelphia, sounding off colorfully about Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley.

Man, the Pittsburgh Steelers need a new (bleep)ing offensive coordinator, this guy sucks. Coach Tomlin, this is Snoop Dogg, man, fire that mother (bleep)er and get us a real offensive coordinator. We ain't won a playoff game since we had this mother (bleep)er, man. (Bleep).

His comments were cleaner than most Haley Haters in Steeler Nation, but after a preseason performance in which the offense (and defense) looked uninspired, listless and generally overwhelmed, Snoop's sentiment will be well-received by anyone who watched the game.

While it's not worth "firing that mother (bleep)er" after just a preseason game, any optimism fans may have had in this team's offense can and probably should be questioned.

And for the record, the Steelers haven't just not won a playoff game since they had that mother (bleep)er, they haven't been to the (bleep)ing playoffs. And they are 1-6 in their last seven preseason games too.

Maybe Snoop ought to realize that it was HIS BOY ( Tomlin ) who hired Haley, and has given him constant support the past two seasons where Haley has been called out by certain media members. Snoop isn't the brightest Bulb in the bunch is he ?

I said in the post last night, the Steelers looked raggedy when Haley is calling plays. The No Huddle should be our base offense.

Well first it's not Snoop Dog. It's Snoop Lion.
        Trolls are people too.

When the QB looks raggedy, the whole offense looks raggedy. The whole team looked deflated. There were some rumors of dissension over the Bell/Blount situation. One poster even mentioned altercations on the sidelines. I didn't see any of that but maybe they looked deflated because they WERE deflated.

            Ben was off last night...

One thing I never like to see from Ben is the touch pass... because he has NO touch. His arm is too big to throw those 5 yard touch passes.

It was preseason. Was there really a game plan or plays called to see what certain players did. Ben misfired most of the night so it doesn't matter what play was called when your QB is doing that.

The same logic should apply to both sides of the ball.

Yup. and that first TD play to Shady was no vanilla offensive play either..

17 seconds between plays... that's insane. I bet we will see the Eagles start out 3-1 and then hit a wall because of injuries..... it's not sustainable.

Well, you can, but its not advisable.

They were going full throttle last night....that 15 seconds per play is just insane, very hard to defend, but DEFINITELY not sustainable

Run Defense is not good and Jarvis Jones was being tossed around like a ragdoll.

They sustained it for nearly 3 quarters and had such a large lead that even if they faltered from there to the end the Steelers would have still lost the game decisively.
