According to PFT, Bell is now in Philly with the team. He missed the flight, obviously, but made it there on his own. I can't imagine he'll play tonight however.

Bell practiced all week, so I see no reason he and Blount do not play. Bell will start and Blount will spell him out. Archer might get the first carry just because Tomlin wants to send a message, but I doubt that even happens.

Yeah love the title. Bell "FORCED" to travel on his own. That poor thing had to purchase his own ticket? LOL Man I bet that set him back in the checkbook. LOL

I say sit Bell down games 1 and 2 and that way the league will say ok the steelers handled it and lets move on! An example other teams should also follow.

Blount we can allow the justice system to do its thing as he wasn't the one behind the wheel of the car and his charges seem less serious. This gives the impression the Steelers are handling it but at the same time allowing them to have a RB always available for game days. My perfect outcome!

Wherever one stands on legalizing pot, can we all agree these two guys were stupid beyond belief? Hope I'm not being too dramatic.

Football is a dyin' beast, Joe. No heroes left. Not anymore. Since ol' Sonny Werblin paid four hundred thousand dollars to Joe Namath in '66, the son of a bitches have just gotten greedier. God Almighty, when's it enough? Jesus, free agents. "Gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme." Now you got guys on PCP wiggin' out and shootin' themselves on the field. The American public is piss-pot tired of it, and they're changing the channel.

It's incredibly stupid and that's not being dramatic. What's dramatic is the people here saying the Steelers need to cut them, or suspend them etc to send a message. There are NFLPA and league mandated punishments already in place for this sort of thing. I don't believe possession of what's legally considered a "small amount" of MJ is a suspend-able offense. A DUI, however is. My guess is Bell will get a 1-game suspension for the DUI, but because it takes so long for these things to play out in court, his suspension may not even happen this season. Dwayne Bowe was caught in a car last November with a small amount of MJ in his car and his one-game suspension was just handed over the past few weeks (8-months later).

As far as any of us know, this is the first offense for both players. Legally, it's a $500.00 fine and the citations are sent to the players through the mail.

Incredibly stupid? Yes. But let's not act like these guys are Pablo Escobar and Walter White cruising around Pittsburgh in a Camaro.

Blount and Bell deserve the hammer to come down from TOMLIN and the STEELERS! If he sent home Rashard Mendenhall for his work ethic he can send these 2 pot heads home for a game or 2 as well!

I was very excited to get Blounts autograph at training camp and now I don't even want to cheer for him or Bell.

Ditto. I also did my 20 and know that a zero tolerance environment is not hard if you don't consider yourself an entitled idiot who gets to pick and choose what rules are followed.

You apparently watch to many movies! I'm on a base right now working as a civilian that has 0 guns, gernades, or tanks and yet guess what? Same rules apply! Crazy huh? LOL

Deployed military and civilian contractors who are sent overseas for a year also can't drink or watch porn. Do it and you are kicked off the base and sent home! Oh guess what? None of them have guns either and most of them live in a 10 man tent with no bathroom. If anyone deserves a PUFF PUFF Pass its these men and woman and yet they all have to follow the rules or they don't get their $$$$.

I did 10 months in Afghanistan and 10 months in Iraq.
7 days a week, 12 hour days making $200,000 a year! Big money for the average joe right? Big enough money for me not to do the following at the risk of losing that $$$$
No drinking, no pot, no sex, no porn.

Did I deserve and want a damn drink at the end of a day? HELL YES! Did some break the rules and have buddys ship it over to them? YEP! Did they get caught? YEP.
Did some get drugs sent over? YEP! Did they get caught? YEP
Some even got caught for prostitution.

Ever have a security clearance? Ever get that revoked before? Let me tell you first hand! It will ruin your career in about 2 seconds and so will a dishonorable discharge.

These guys play a game for millions of dollars. IF that's not enough to follow the rules then what is? Seriously

BELL needs a team suspension of 1-2 weeks. PERIOD! I'll be happy with that and guess who will keep on making millions? BELL.

Blount - let the legal system do its thing and if he is found guilty then bench him as well for 1-2 games later in the season.

or bench them both in week 1 and send a strong message to the team that this is not tolerated in a Steelers uniform. If you want to do that you can go play for the Browns.

We sent this message to our Super Bowl MVP a few years ago so I don't see why anything changes today! If you want to risk smoking pot then do it in the comfort of your home and have your women come over there to party!
