How many rookie QBs are "ready" for the NFL by their 2nd preseason game, after spending almost no time practicing with the first unit players? I'd say, about NONE. But I agree with the sentiment that the Browns don't look very scary right now, whoever the QB is. The QBs were inaccurate all night. And their starting RT looks horrid. According to my Browns' buddies the Steelers will "eat him for breakfast, lunch and dinner." Worilds should have a monster day. But the Browns have a solid D and will be putting pressure on Ben all day. And those 2 CBs are solid. Gilbert already looked like the real deal.

Hey, can we get the Browns 3rd QB some how? He looks better than our back ups, any of them.

By the way: How retarded are the Browns to give so much playing time to Gordon, who is going to be out at least half the season? What is there to gain by him having playing time over other players who will actually be playing games when they count? If I were a Browns' fan, I would be very nervous that the team is still being run by morons.

And, that's my point, he isn't ready and not many rookie quarterbacks are ready at this point in their career. What I was saying is, regardless of how bad Hoyer looked, he would still be my starter versus the Steelers instead of Manziel and even if Hoyer was injured I'd go with the 3rd string guy in this game. I would want his first game to be as stress free as possible and that would be playing any team except the Steelers, Bengals or Ravens.

I actually think every single NFL team is licking their chops to kill this guy. They loath all the attention he gets, and how cocky he is, before he has played a real NFL snap. This guy better have his head on a swivel, and I mean more than just how everyone should, in general. If he doesn't get better OL play, he's gonna get killed.
