Tuitt had as many tackles as offsides penalties in the game versus the Giants, but his long-term potential is quite evident...

I was watching Tuitt. The way that big man moves is truly something special. He looked like a HUGE linebacker out there.
            Trolls are people too.

I wouldn't call him a beast though because he was wildly inconsistent even when he was good.
This is a ridiculous myth, we need to stop saying it.

Woodley had the best start OF HIS ENTIRE CAREER right after his contract was signed.
9 sacks in the first 8 games.
He was on pace for 18 sacks which would be a Steeler record.

He got HURT after his SECOND sack of week 8 in the 2011.

Heck Woodley had a sack in FIVE OF HIS FIRST SIX games LAST YEAR.

Woodleys WELL DESERVED rep as slow starter strong finisher almost ENTIRELY is based on his pre contract pattern.

INJURY PROBLEMS, not contract induced lazyiness was his problem.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

regardless, woodley has been in a slow decline since 2009 (can you believe he had 62 tackles that year!!). he played his best when Harrison was on the other side.

Woodley was bad because he got paid.....apparently.

Just like Redman was great because he wasn't paid...until he started.

Here's betting Woodley goes alright in Oakland, better than Worilds in Pittsburgh, say, as an example..
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

                  Light up the darkness.

                      Yep.

I'd be somewhat surprised if he ever matches his earlier level of play. He has the body of a player several years older.
Not sure he can recover all that he's lost physically.

Woodley generated DMVP talk ONCE IN HIS CAREER.
It was the first half of 2011, RIGHT AFTER he signed his contract.
He had THREE STRAIGHT games with 2 sacks before he got hurt in week 8.

BTW Harrison WAS INJURED during that exact same stretch.

Four games leading up to Woodleys injury in week 8 2011 all of which a Harrison missed go like this:
                        1.5 sacks
                        2 sacks
                        2 sacks
                        2 sacks

Do a Google search for articles about Woodley during that time. He was never better.

We know a thing or two about ginormous linebackers.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
