IMO, Ben's events are completely independent of Rice's and, as such, what happened to Ben, happened to Ben, for the most part it was his own doing. Taken as an independent event the Rice situation IMO warrants a stiffer penalty than a two game suspension. Rice should have to do community service at a shelter for battered women, counseling, and should have received more than two games. Every woman I've spoken to since the suspension was handed down is appalled, regardless of whether they are Ravens' fans, Steelers' fans or fans of any other team.
Ben's events are Ben's events and it was dealt with, you can't use those events to determine the penalty in the Rice case. It just feels like it should have been a harsher punishment to me, that's all.
