    NFL's least interesting teams

The Falcons are this year's Hard Knocks team. That brings a big snore from most NFL fans. At least it does me. But, being that so many teams do not want to be featured on that show (as it is somewhat intrusive and adds distractions - something no teams want, generally), beggars can't be choosers. Two years ago, the Falcons were some what interesting, with a decent QB, two top tier WRs on one team, a hall of fame TE, etc. They made the play offs and advanced. But last year, they lost those stud WRs, had no rushing game, a weak D and returned to being boring and irrelevant.

I don't know how interesting this season of Hard Knocks will be - a show that I used to anticipate greatly, coming out Wed. night. But, I bet this season will have the lowest ratings of all of them. There just aren't many Falcon fans AND they are just of little interest. What other teams draw the least interest?

    - Jags. Not only are they among the youngest franchise, providing little history, but they just haven't had many notable players in their relatively short history. Sure, they actually had some surprising success in the late 90's, with such quality players as Mark Brunell, Fred Taylor, Jimmy Smith, Keenan McCardell, Tony Boselli, Hardy, Brackens, Jeff Lageman, Donovin Darius, etc., they have had endless bad drafts since. They might be finally turning the corner now, who knows. But they are definitely among those franchises that most fans just don't care about.

    - Titans. Definitely had their glory days as Oilers, even though the Steelers blocked them from any Super Bowls. Not only were the teams on the 70's very good, with Earl Campbell, Dan Pastorini, and a great D, the era of Warren Moon, all those WRs, top RBs, great OL, great D were very talented teams as well. Of course, the Steve McNair/Eddie George era was good, but since then, they are just a boring team no one cares about (but still always beats us).

    - Bucs. Yea, finally won a ring, but have since returned to being a team no one cares about.

The Brownstains have long been a pretty lame franchise too but with Manziel on the roster they've become more annoying than interesting.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

The top 2 guys on my mock draft for most of the off season was Mike Evans and Austin Seferian-Jenkins, and Tampa ended up with both of them, so I am somewhat intrigued by how that turns out, particularly teamed with another behemoth WR Vincent Jackson as well. I liked Doug Martin as a RB before he got hurt, and on defense they have some intriguing young talent on D like Gerald McCoy, Lavante David, and Mark Barron. They don't have a franchise QB, sure, which certainly limits them, but McCown did have success last season with receivers of similar build in Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffrey. Maybe Mike Glennon could be that guy in few years, though. I like Lovie Smith as a coach too.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I have lived in both Dallas and Atlanta.

As much as Dallas is hyped in the media (the "America's Team" BS and what not), it seemed people in Dallas just didn't really care much about the Cowboys.

The people of Atlanta definitely love the Falcons.

I would say the Jacksonville Jaguars except for the fact that their fan base is so much better than that of the Steelers...

I am curious as to what years you lived in each town. Dallas fans seem notorious for not caring as soon as they know they aren't actual contenders. I'd be surprised to hear you lived there in the early-mid 90's and they didn't seem to care.

Never said better, just FACTUALLY reported that they had a higher attendance in 2013 than did the Steelers. All I did was reveal the TRUTH. The Steeler hooey about amazing fan support is highly exaggerated.

yeah, those deeply discounted and free tickets do tend to boost attendance figures...

Yea, keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better.

Jags average about 60k, Pgh about 57k. Pgh is near the bottom of the barrel.

Get back to me when the Rooneys decide to voluntarily give up a home game for 4 consecutive seasons to play a game in London.
