Well that is what they call it on the telephone keypad. Even today when dialing in to a conference call AT&T tells you to enter the passcode and then hit the pound sign.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

    but Go Steelers!!!

It's called the pound sign b/c the symbol comes from the abbreviation for weight, lb. it was common for writers to cross the letters at the top with a line (similar to a T). The more you know...

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

          TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Must be because I'm from Canada and we don't generally use lbs. When I think of a pound sign, I think of the sign for currency in England:

              TicTacToe Twitter sign!
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
