Good developmental prospect at least.... has athleticism but needs to get bigger & stronger. That's a much easier fix with professional trainers and nutritionists.

Johnson blends outstanding agility and blocking techniques with toughness and superb football knowledge. As a Commodore, Johnson has never been called for a holding penalty, and he did not allow a sack in 2013. He has also played virtually every significant offensive snap for the last three years, and has been on the field for every Vanderbilt touchdown during the three-year span.
Whats the catch?Trolls are people too.Comment

Wesley Johnson started 50 consecutive games in the SEC, with starts at LT, RT, LG, and C. Intelligent, versatile lineman with experience and leadership traits.Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.Comment

12/10/13 - 2013 ASSOCIATED PRESS ALL-SEC SECOND TEAM: OL - Wesley Johnson (Tie), Vanderbilt, 6-5, 295, Sr,...Johnson, a redshirt senior from Nashville, finished his career with more consecutive starts (50) than any active player in the SEC. The 6-5, 295 pound lineman has been an anchor for the Vandy offensive line. Over the past four seasons, Johnson has been on the field for all, but two, of Vanderbilt's offensive touchdowns.
He has played virtually every important snap for the Commodores since the 2010 opener, and has started at four different line positions: left tackle, right tackle left guard and center. This year, Johnson has started every game at left tackle, protecting the blindside of Vanderbilt quarterbacks against one of the NCAA's top defensive ends. During his career, he has been flagged for just two holding penalties and has allowed just 7.5 quarterback sacks in 1,281 pass plays, averaging one sack per 171 plays. - Vanderbilt football
Frank Cooney had him as the 167th best player in the draft. We got him at 173...so maybe this is a good pick after all huh
Sick Beats ?...So please don't Chime in on how this pick totally SUCKS!!!Comment

5 reasons to like Wesley Johnson
Posted May 10, 2014
By Mike Prisuta
Versatility is a strength of Wesley Johnson, an offensive lineman from Vanderbilt
Why you should be excited about Wesley Johnson:
* He started a school-record 51 games at Vanderbilt.
* He has started at tackle, guard and center. “He’s not only a guy who can play all three positions, he’s a guy who has played all three positions,” Steelers offensive line coach Mike Munchak assessed.
* At 6-foot-5 and 297 pounds Johnson has the necessary size, but he’s also agile enough and athletic enough to fit the mold of the more mobile offensive linemen the Steelers have been seeking as they incorporate the outside-zone blocking scheme.
* He was a First-Team All-SEC selection at left tackle in 2013.
* Johnson blocked No. 1 overall pick Jadeveon Clowney effectively in Vanderbilt’s most recent game against South Carolina. “He did very well, actually,” Munchak said. “He plays with confidence. He had a nice, solid game against Clowney.”
