Re: Question for those going to the game

I have no real ax to grind against Plax. I guess I politely give him a fair welcome as a "thank you" for the service he did render. Then, he becomes every other player to me...the enemy.

I definitely give ARE a warm welcome. He won his ring with the Steelers and was a big reason why they did. ARE is surely a part of Steelers lore.

I also give Peezy and AF warm welcomes for the same reasons as ARE with the added bonus that I know the Steelers got the best part of their careers and that they will never again reach the peak of their careers that they reached with the Steelers.

If there was a player who would come back and didn't realize their potential or the potential of the team before he took the $$$ and ran, then they would get a big razzberry from me...then I'd leave him alone. That's what I did to that rube Jim Thome when he came back to Jacobs Field...in a White Sux uni. None of the above guys fall into that category.
    Steelers...On The STAIRWAY TO SEVEN!!!

For those who went to the game; were there that many Giants fans at the game yesterday? When they scored their TD it came accross the TV really loud...wtf?

At the end, there seemed to be a lot of Giant fans, because so many of our "fans" were leaving. You give up on your team to beat 10 minutes worth of traffic?

Seriously...I will never understand that mentality. After we gave the ball back to the Giants with a little over 2 minutes to go, the stands were freaking emptying at an alarming rate. I stood up and yelled "We still have 3 timeouts, plus the 2 minute warning, and they can't run the ball on us!" The Giant fans behind me acknowledged that the game was not over, but so many Steeler fans had already packed it in and were heading to the exits. I wanted a comeback like the Cleveland playoff game ending in the TD run by Fu, and tons of people trying to get back in, just to tick off all those people leaving more than anything.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
