Rounds 4-7...what positions do we address first ?

Okay fans. Rounds 4 through 7 tomorrow. This is where the MEN GM's seperate themselves from the BOY GM's.

So, at pick 118, what do we address ? If for some reason the bigger WR Bryant is still available...do we select him ? If the HUGE Tennessee NT, Daniel McCullers is there...do we take him ?c What about a CB ?....is it even possible that Lindenwood's " Pierre Desir " lasts til 118 ?...and if so, do we take him ? They say you can never have enough Pass rushers, so, is Jackson Jeffcoat is there, should we take him ?..or what about the Arizona State kid..." Carl Bradford " ???

    What say you ?

I dont know, but based on what we've seen thus far I have a feeling that they aren't looking at position so much.

If I had my wish list, it would probably go like this...

      1) M. Bryant...The Big WR Ben wants, but will he be there ?
      2) Brock Vereen: I actually have heard some Steeler insiders say they love this kid. A safety who can also play CB...Smart, very Athletic and Physical.
      3) Pierre Desir: The small school wonder is still around, but likely won't make it to us...but if he did...Great 4th round get.
      4) Dakota Dozier: The OL from Furman was considered a late 2nd round talent by some. Needs work on technique and needs to get stronger. But his smooth foot work for his size is exciting.
      5) Jackson Jeffcoat: This guy might be the Steelers first choice if all the above are still at 118. Steelers brought him to Pittsburgh, so they must like him. And we really haven't secured depth at OLB....Chris Carter is our only real back-up.

There, hope those selections would please all of us in round 4.

I think I will say CB. Jaylen Watkins, Marcus Roberson, Ross Cockrell at this point but once rd 4 starts I might have to change my mind. I also like Vereen.

              Here's my remaining mock:

              4. CJ Fiedorowicz - TE - Iowa
              5. Brandon Coleman - WR - Rutgers
              5. EJ Gaines - CB - Missouri
              6. Ryan Carrethers - NT - Arkansas State
              6. Solomon Patton - WR - Florida
              7. Devon Kennard - OLB - USC

CJ's gone, but I had Watkins in the 3rd who's still there.

There's a boatload of talent left in this draft. Let's keep loading up!!!

I like Desir but I suspect that he'll be gone within the first 5 picks of the round. I'd also consider Urban. I think Urban, Tuitt and Heyward would be a nice three man rotation. A big WR would also be nice.

I'm wondering if they are looking at Archer as a WR as much as a RB. In that case I can see them going Desir, Gaines, Vereen (I like a kid who already has a brother playing in the league), Colvin.

Archer is Dexter McCluster 2.0 with a warp drive gear. Haley likes that LSH type who got injured with us week 1. So he should use him the same way.

I like our 5-techniques to have some length (Stephon Tuitt is 6'5" like Aaron Smith and Brett Keisel were) but if we go with a nose tackle, I prefer the short & stout option like the 6'1" Casey Hampton was. That would be Justin Ellis from Louisiana Tech (also 6'1") as opposed to the 6'7" Daniel McCullers or the 6'4" DaQuan Jones.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

If we want to add a big WR option to combine with the small slot WR/RB/returner type in Archer, then that would be Martavis Bryant in round 4, or possibly Jeff Janis or Brandon Coleman with one of our 4 picks in rounds 5 & 6.

Even though I did not mention him, do not be surprised if the Steelers do select another WR, and it's not Ellington or Martavis Bryant.....watch for UCLA's...Shaq Evans. A very tough WR who has as Explosive of a take-off as anyone. Shaq Evans 10Yd split is as fast as " Dri Archer's was. And I have watched many UCLA games. And I said last year that Shaq Evans is a " Hines Ward " type of player. In which I mean he a rough & ready guy who will Block like a Monster on the field for the running game. And will do all the Dirty work.

May not be the really TALL WR that the Steelers want. But I have always thought of Shaq Evans as a " Steeler " type of player.
