Rara--that is an interesting perspective given that your mock draft has two complete train wrecks in Lyerla and Henderson in Rounds 6 and 7...talk about attitudes!

How many games have you actually seen Ebron play. I've watched about half a dozen and his blocking is not as bad as the hype machine as build it up to be. He is also a mismatch nightmare that you would be challenged to find elsewhere in the draft. If Ozzie Newsome would take him that is enough of an endorsement for me because he is among the very best GMs and talent evaluators in the game.

Well, I've seen the guy play in a few games, and I also beleive the guy can't block worth a pi$$ or for that matter catch a pass in the end zone when he needs to. I am not sure why he gets all the press when I think there are other TE's in this draft that may be better than him as an all around TE.

He showed me nothing against my alma mater in Chapel Hill. He dropped a sure TD and really was a non factor against even I'll admit it, a mediocre defense that we were implementing...

There is a huge difference in taking a chance on a pot smoking underachiever in the first/second ie Adams...and taking that chance in the 6th or 7th. I think you are intelligent enough to get that.

From a talent perspective, Lyerla smokes Ebron...just a much better all around talent...and oh yeah the guy can block.

Ebron's Blocking is a work in progress. But that is because he was not asked to do that at UNC. Yes his TD numbers were not great. But that is probably because his surrounding talent at UNC Sucked. And once down close to the endzone, I remember Ebron constantly double-teamed. I mean Heath Miller was barley 5 Lbs more then Ebron when we drafted him in round 1, and Miller wasn't close Athletically or even strength wise as Ebron is. I think fans who want Ebron at 15 ( If he is even there )...is because there is a growing trend for the good teams having Two good TE's. I mean Miller and Ebron would be a devestating combo to try and cover.

And in those times we do run the ball with both in the game, we have Miller to be the In-Line run blocker, and Ebron to be more of that receiving threat to take away the defenses 7-man fronts to guard against the run. So there can be a good argument by fans here to select Ebron at 15.

Lyerla smokes more than just Ebron.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Marcus Martin heads to the draft

A new name has been added to the list of players who’ll be attending the draft on Thursday — and maybe Friday.

Per multiple reports, USC center Marcus Martin will head to Radio City Music Hall. Via Ian Rapoport of NFL Media

This is surprising to me. I like Martin but, I had him more of a late 2nd early 3rd rounder. The fact that he is Invited to the drafts war room must mean that a team is looking at him in round 1.

Browns Could Be A Landing Spot For Teddy Bridgewater At No. 26 Overall? http://nfltraderumors.co/?p=94377..( Maybe we can convice Cleveland to trade up with us to guarantee Bridgewater ??? )
God, please let the Browns pass on Johnny Football for Bridgewater. That would be so Cleveland. No QB is a sure thing, but I like JM MUCH better than TB, who has a pop gun arm, can't throw deep, is too slight from a physical stance. If they pass on JM, we should have a party. According to a few of the top draft gurus, TB isn't even ready for the NFL yet; they say he needs a year or TWO before he will even be ready to play QB in this league. I think I heard that from Mayock and McShay say the same thing. I would take JM over any of the QBs. He has that special winning trait. He will have to learn some things, no doubt, but he has a high IQ and an immense football IQ.

It depends who we end up with after we trade out of 15. I would be bummed if it moved us out of prime CB territory.

We sure could use an extra 2nd rounder. As long as they make great choices with both.

They actually aren't all that secretive about the guys they like. In Tomlin's first year, the whole world knew they liked Revis and Timmons. Their interest in Heath Miller was no surprise. Same with Pouncey and Cam Heyward - hardly unexpected.

I've heard absolutely no mention of Ebron from any source close to the team. If I'm wrong, I'll own it, but I say there is no way he is the pick.
