    James Jones

I would love the Steelers to sign WR James Jones if he is affordable. He is only 29 and is 6 foot 1. Either way, we need to sign a free agent WR as well as draft one early.

    I'd rather we re-sign Jerricho.

No thanks to Evans. However..I would rather have one of the following: Damian Williams, Dezmon Briscoe or Robert Meachem from Free agency...and draft Herron from Wyoming.

        A.Brown
        Moye
        Williams
        Herron
        J.Brown

Wheaton? I vote we keep him too.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

Depending on the money he's looking for, Jones would be worth considering. He may not be the underneath route runner that Sanders was, but unlike Sanders, he can stretch a defense. He's been a bit inconsistent at times, but his career 13.9 YPC (compared to 11.0 for Sanders last year and 12.6 for his career) could enable him to be a nice compliment to Brown.

Indeed. Regardless of what everyone else says, the team doesn't seem terribly stressed about having him as a starter. And that makes me feel good - seems like a good kid.

That's my sense as well. Fans are in a panic, but the team seems rather calm about signing any FA WRs. Tells me they think they can get value with all the FAs looking for work.

Pretty sure they also know there will be some post draft cuts of veterans (like Cotchery was), as well as other veterans who simply went unsigned before the draft... There will be players out there. Always are.

                      Numbers on Jones below:

                      James Jones three-yr. deal: $10 million, $3.65M guaranteed, $2M roster bonus 2014, salaries $1.65M, $2.95M, $2.95M, $150,000 workout bonus

Would have been a viable starting option and would have fit under the cap. Could have been cut after this year if necessary.
