Sounds like he isn't very motivated most of the time. Maybe take him as a back up, but I don't even know if that is worth it. At least McClendon is a high effort guy

Based on the little I've read on Thomas, he seems like a guy who could be a rotational player. He doesn't sound like he'll be the second coming of Casey Hampton, and he seems to play better in a limited role than he does as a starter.

I do remember the Chargers getting gashed in the run game last year for what it's worth.

That may not be on him. A great player in a bad team doesn't look impressive.

He has played poorly and was benched at one point last year. This needs to be a vet min type deal
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

I believe he was benched at season's end...when the Chargers were making their playoff run.

He could be a guy who needs a change of scenery...

It could also pave the way for McClendon to move to DE...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

He would be an upgrade over mcclendon (who i do like in a limited role), really carrington is my #1 wish list player though

                      Signed him, 2 year deal

Hopefully change of scenery helps motivate him like it did with Woods

When you say we signed him and then talk about how he needs to be motivated, excuse me if I think this is a bad move. I wanted a NT so we don't reach for Nix at #15 but not an unmotivated player. Hopefully the "unmotivated" label proves false.

Best part of this signing is that it probably means Nix is out of the Round 1 consideration.

2 years probably minimum, but he is talented. He was benched late last season, but 6-4 330 hes a big boy and a better fit at NT for us than he was at UT for the chargers.

They brought in Woods after he told new orleans he pretty much only wanted to get paid and thats why he was playing football....woods turned into a good player, so im assuming they did their DD.

I was really hoping for carrington though

Is Carrington off the table for sure???
