No way can they know how likely Spence will be to contributing, I don't think. And they know that. So I believe the above is more likely to be the case. I think, by all accounts, VW improved as he started to grasp the LeBoo system. I still expect them to sign a FA or draft an ILB. You can get good ones in mid or even later rounds.

Give him a NT that occupies blockers & most of Williams' problems from last season are nullified. He got caught up in the trash too often- same with Timmons.

If I remember right, he was within an inch of being activated last year during the season...and think he would have had the FO seen us as being contenders at that point. They must have seen enough of him at that point to think he could have contributed. I'd have to think that an extra offseason of rehab should get him even better.

Those guys provide tremendous value for their salaries. Wouldn't surprise me to see Foote return on a qualified minimum contract, if he is healthy.

you are right about the value. Not sure if Foote comes back... might be a signing later on in camp, etc.

yay. as said already, he was a solid player for years and appreciated. I don't think he should have been re-signed the last time.

I suspect it means a early-to-mid round ILB (or veteran FA) to compete with Spence and Vince... And THAT makes me happy...
