Totally disagree. Think you need to watch the game tape to see the difference. Jones was a beast at Georgia. He could do everything. I think same would be a good Kevin Greene brute force style to complimen Jarvis's Lloyd like athleticism.

How do those numbers compare to Worilds combine numbers???

The media must be very disappointed in these numbers

I did see JJ college game tape (youtube). I haven't seen Sam. My point was in the striking similarity, namely in both were good enough to earn SEC DPOY. Both had poor 40s. One is "a steal" at 15 overall. The other guy is a 6th round projection. It doesn't seem to add up.

I think someone is going to get a steal in Sam. I don't know how well he'll transition to OLB but that seems to be where he'll play. Guy has a motor. I can remember watching Georgia and Jones just flat out impressed me. Even when he didn't make the play. He was always somehow involved.

Jones = Sam? Are you suggesting that Sam will also be a non-factor as a rookie?

Many great players were non-factors as rookies. You're just too dense to see it.

I think Sam could be a rich man's Carlos Emmons or a poor man's Clark Haggans.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

They could not be more different, way to look at just the workout numbers and form an opinion

Jones might never be a sack artist or a pass rushing specialist but he can definitely play MLB in a 34 or SAM in a 43, hes a very very natural linebacker.

Sam is not a natural linebacker at all, probably doesnt have the ability to be a 34 OLB pass rusher and doesnt really have the size to be a full time DE.

Very Weird comparison based solely on 40 times i assume, and maybe being SEC DPOY

This right here is the problem with airing the combine. Bad assumptions based on information that doesn't have nearly as much to do with football as you think it does.

Richard Sherman (arguably the best corner in the NFL) ran in the 4.6's. Most would say that's too slow to cover a 4.4 WR, but, he does it all day long.

If 2/10 of a second spread out over 40 yards was such a difference maker mike wallace would have a few 700 yard games

Richard Sherman fell because Harbaugh told scouts he had an attitude problem.

Jones wasn't making a position switch. He also played great against the talented teams. Sam is 100% changing positions and so far has shown no aptitude for the new position he'll be asked to play. Sam's numbers were also greatly inflated against three of the worst teams they played.

Doesn't matter, he won't beat Steeler so who cares.

                              "Very weird comparison"?
Same conference, both were DPOY, both did it getting after the QB (a position where you typically are considered pretty fast for your size), both clock below mediocre times in the 40, both similar stature (i.e. not long).

How is that a weird comparison?
