3 GMs in 3 years.... good grief. Browns are setting some great records..... and I am loving it.

Luckily Haslam was a minority owner (aka 'silent') of the Steelers. He obviously wasn't paying attention to how to build a winning org in football.

Well, as you say, he wasn't paying attention, or, as is the case with wealthy, successful businessmen, their ego won't allow them to believe that someone else can do something better than them, which is what I believe happened with Haslam. He saw how the Steelers do it, but decided he knows more about owning a football team than a family that has done it since 1933.

I'm hoping that Art II isn't falling into this trap.

But I never did anything as stupid as becoming a Browns fan.
But you got close. Realllll close!

You made mistakes?!? I chose to go to college in Cleveland. And, then I married a girl from Cleveland.
Even if Bill Belichick was getting an atomic wedgie, his face would look exactly the same.

But is she a Brown's fan??
I know of people from Cleveland who favor the Bungles or Steelers.

Rumor has it the Browns were willing to trade half their draft picks to SF for the right to go after Harbaugh as coach.

This Haslam guy smacks of a desperate win-at-all-costs-now kind of owner. They better get their franchise QB this draft or there may be another churn in coaching staff.

I heard that rumor. Could you see two brothers as head coaches in the same division ? One coaching the old Browns team and one coaching the new Browns team. Remember, if it's brown flush it down. Browns fans are fools ! They are proud they back their teams, sell out the stadiums despite the teams records. That's not a loyal fan, that's an idiot fan. Allow the ownership to realize, no winning no fans no money. How long do you think the Rooney's would keep things the same when they start seeing the fans go away and the dollars falling off ? it wouldn't be too long before we seen changes.

If they Land Manziel,...he's gonna look like a genius. The kid's style of play just may be condusive to being productive without having to have an excessive amount of help around him on the offensive side of the ball.

Ie: Browns near instant respectability,...Johnny Manziel,... just add defense.

They already have a pretty good defense.

Yes,their defensive is decent Sugar,...but if they land Manziel they can use the rest of the draft and free agency to make it exceptional.

For all of the bashing,...this Haslam guy may have the guts to do what it takes to bring a winning franchise to his fanbase. He's seems impulsive to the outside world,....but if any of us owned the Browns,....would'nt we be juuuust a little bit focused on winning ?

If SF loses JH over him being a little huffy with GM, they are complete MORONS. JH is a winner who built a contender that should contend for years. Even if JH can be difficult, so what? Deal with it. You won't be able to replace him very easily. No way.
