Steelers sign pair to future contracts

The Pittsburgh Steelers signed wide receiver Jasper Collins and safety Jordan Dangerfield to reserve/future contracts on Friday.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Collins had short stints on the Browns' and Dolphins' practice squads last season. The former Mount Union standout signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent last May but Miami waived/injured Collins at the end of July.

The 5-foot-11, 199-pound Dangerfield signed with the Bills as an undrafted free agent last May and spent training camp with the Bills before getting released in late August.

The Towson product had been out of football before signing a future contract with the Steelers.

Dangerfield really just has to work out. We can have a field day with "I don't get know respect" comments.

C'mon guys let's not drop the ball on this one like we did the "Lewis and Clark" roaming the defensive backfield.

Dude was cut by the Bills. There's no better "no respect" NFL angle than that.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
