The Steelers will show are they really committed to winning this offseason.

By the moves they make or lack of.
If they allow Worilds or Coth to walk and decide to keep any of these players
    Ike
    Troy
    Clark
    Kiesel
    Foote
    Hood
    Sanders
    And maybe Woodley

Clark, Kiesel, Foote and Hood will be easy financially, Woodley isn't going anywhere (financially), Ike and Troy are the wild cards, their play has inexplicably deteriorated the past 2-3 weeks, Troy's tackling was atrocious yesterday and Ike isn't covering like he was at the beginning of the year, age and wear and tear are catching up to them late in the season is my guess. What is done with them in the off season will all depend on the financial ramifications of their contracts.

To be honest, I don't think Troy was ever a great tackler.

That may be, but now with bad guessing or instincts failing, his tackling is seems to be magnified, on the last Miami TD, he was trying to strip the ball and make a big play, we needed the ball carrier tackled at that point in the game. Maybe, with better pieces around him, he'd be the same player we remember, but he doesn't seem to be that player any longer, yesterday's pick 6 being the exception.

Ike & then Troy have to take 3-4 mil paycuts to stay. 4 mil paycut for L Brown to stay. Woodley isn't going anywhere for '14. Retain Worilds, Velasco, W Allen, Dwyer & Cotchery. Try & retain Hood at a back-up number. Let Sanders walk. Evryone else over 30 not under contract for '14 can test the market. Won't take any back for more than min after the draft.

I am pretty sure that both Troy and Ike will accept significant paycuts. They both know that nobody will pay them anything close to their current contracts. I also think they both are loyal Pittsburghers.

i agree. half price or less for a year or two would be good.
