Whether they should have punted or gone for it, they should have had a plan ready. Burning the timeout was costly.

I disagree...to an extent. I can agree with the decision, because we give our offense a chance to get going and even if we don't make it, we can still allow a FG and win the game. With 2:23 left (or whatever it was), the Phins would have the chance to move the ball on our sorry defense and burn clock, if we punted. By Miami getting the ball in chip-shot FG range, the likelihood was that they were going to be conservative and not be able to get a first down and burn clock. We would get the ball back with over a minute left with a chance to win the game still.

The time out was not good though...it allowed them to burn 30 seconds off the clock.

Surprised by the call, but not a bad one in my book.

This defense just sucks.

once they punted, should have called timeout BEFORE the 2 minute warning, not after... never understood that logic. 3rd down is run AT the 2 minute warning, not 2nd down and a TO - you save 10 seconds, which could be critical

I was ok with the decision to go for it. I was sickened by the fact they took a TO on top of that. That decision should have been made on 3rd down & no need to waste a TO.
