That would be criminal IMO.

Steelers face fine, loss of draft pick
Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin could be fined at least $100,000 and the team could lose a draft pick as a result of Tomlin interfering with a play by stepping on the field, according to multiple reports.
The play occurred in the third quarter of Thursday night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. After Pittsburgh scored to close to 13-7, Baltimore returner Jacoby Jones broke free down the sideline on the ensuing kickoff but slowed up with Tomlin on the white stripe near the field of play — with his foot on the field at one point as Jones neared his location.
Tomlin, who had his back to the play, was not penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct. He said he did not think he interfered with Jones.
The NFL fined the New York Jets $100,000 in 2010 when strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi tripped a Miami Dolphins player running down the sideline.
Tomlin is on the league’s competition committee, which helps make new rules.

Bill Cowher had 3 straight years of missing the playoffs. Tomlin deserves to be the coach of the Steelers regardless of our record this year and if we lose a draft pick (I dont believe that is likely. Miami's ST coach actually tripped a guy and only received $100,000 fine).2019 Mock

I'm willing to bet anyone 20$ that we don't lose a draft pick. It's just another fabricated story from the reporters.http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/2...eelers2010.jpgComment

Fine him, suspend him a game but don't take a freaking draft pick. That would be unreal, it didn't alter the outcome of the game. Hopefully it's just more bs from the wonderful nfl reporters1. CB Marcus Peters Washington 6/190

I always joke with my friends that there is an anti-steeler bias in the NFL. if we lose a draft pick for this then I will actually believe it. The Cheatriots lose a draft pick for CHEATING IN THE SUPERBOWL and you're going to take away a draft pick from us for this?go to http://www.thebreastcancersite.com to donate a free mammogram a day to women without health insurance.Comment

Yes, I think Tomlin knew what he was doing. The video evidence clearly shows that. I think he was deliberately trying to get as close as possible without actually being on the field of play although he actually was on the field (barely).
Yes, I think he should be fined.
No, I don't think he should be fired over this. He'll get fired for other reasons depending on how next season goes. This doesn't look good but it won't be the reason he gets fired.
I just can't believe the league is even CONSIDERING taking away a draft pick.
The Pats get caught cheating for years including the playoffs during their SB runs and they basically get a slap on the wrist given the circumstances.
Our HC did have poor judgement in doing what he did... but a loss of a draft pick? Seriously?Tomlin: Let's unleash hell and "mop the floor" with the competition.Comment

Some one at the NFL offices must be saying something as multiple sources are reporting. They had a discussion on ESPN this morning specifically about the possibility of a lost draft choice. No way it's just being made up by reporters in multiple news outlets.sigpicComment

For all we know it went like this:
NFL Guy, "Should we consider a lost draft choice for what Tomlin did?"
Other NFL Guy, "Nah, doesn't warrant that much of a punishment"
- All of a sudden, every one is reporting that lost draft picks are being "discussed"...sigpicComment
