Im not convinced they did. Ben was erratic. The D was ineffective giving up 60% conversions on 3rd downs. I'll give them but they persisted. But it wasn't close to 60 minutes of solid effort.

The D only gave up one touchdown. They tightened up in the red zone every time... the game was lost on special teams. What was Baltimore's average drive start? Seemed Baltimore's kick return unit brought everything out past the 30, and the infamous Jacoby Jones return much further. Every drive we had started at or inside the 20. Their kicker was automatic, 5 for 5 on field goals. Ours - not so much. In an evenly matched game, you've got to do the little things well. We didn't. This seems like something I've been saying about the Steelers for decades. Have we ever been able to cover kicks?

I f$cking hate moral victories. They lost a critical game they needed to win. And they are in this position because of consistently crappy performance throughout the year including 3 losses to horrible teams. The Steelers have a losing record because as a team they don't appear to mind losing all that much.

I've been saying that for close to a year now. But I'm a "hater" and Ike stays in amazing shape in the offseason so he must be worth 10 mil/year .... lol

Meanwhile, we developed a pretty fine CB who shuts down #1's for the Saints. What would he be looking like in this B&G?

The play calling in the first quarter was terrible...need to mix up pass and run plays.
I hate it when the try an run even when they are getting stopped....

No point in keeping a guy who can no longer shadow, especially if he can't catch and now he struggles tackling.

I still can't believe we didn't keep Lewis or give him an offer. It's like our FO see's the best in our worst... and the worst in our best.

I was listening to the Fan earlier and they said Ben was quoted saying the chances of going into Baltimore and using the no huddle successfully was slim.

Makes no sense to me at all. Sometimes I think we outsmart ourselves. We go bump and run and beat the Pats and I bet money we didn't do it again because "they would prepare for it"

We don't know what went on between Lewis and the FO. Some have said that the guy wanted to go to his hometown team that he had rooted for from his youth and that the Steelers had no chance. It's possible that the Steelers had no chance at him and knew it.

Anyone can be convinced with 'crazy money'. Unfortunately I don't think Lewis was worth crazy money and apparently neither did the Steelers.
