    Jarvis Jones

    I watched him a lot today and it seemed he was unsure of his assignments a lot, but when he knew what he had to do (rushing the QB mostly) he was doing well.

    He did have 2 batted balls today, so that's a good thing. I'm hoping he learns the D and becomes a beast. What did you guys think of him today?

    The talent is there - he needs to hit the weight room & work on his craft...

              Was he a spy when playing ILB? Looked good there. No reason not to move these guys around some so they can make plays.

                  If he was being moved around some, that is good for him. He's not physically good enough to just line up there and beat guys off the edge. He needs that added dimension (surprise). And he seems to be the kind of guy who can thrive more as an all-around LB type.

                    I think he will get better as a NFL OLB. He just needs some season. But I would still move him around some. Did anyone notice if he and Worilds switched sides at all? I think that can work also.

                      Yea, they switched some during the 2nd half. Jones got 1 of his batted balls from Woodley's side in the 4th.

                        I agree. Really, I'm not down on the kid. I just don't see the pure, QB-hunting, physical ability of an Terrell Suggs or Aldon Smith or something. He does seem to be savvy, and have spunk. I think he has a lot of ability to just be a play-making OLB, more along the lines of Greg Lloyd and Peezy (who also weren't pure QB-hunters).

                            When I seen him bat that ball I thought he came from the ILB spot. Thanks for the clarification on that sir.

                              Id rather have a James Harrison type making plays in the run D than some pure pass rusher like Smith or Robert Mathis
