I don't recall anyone (let alone " a lot" of people) saying that the reason we are 1-4 is because of AB's showboating...

the AB lovers on the board are hilarious. As long as he gets his numbers, they are happy.
What does this thread have to do with our W/L record? I think the thread is about a comparison between the two receivers. Are you saying our W/L record would be better if we had Wallace instead of Brown? I really doubt that.

No one has ever stated that. If you're using hyperbole or sarcasm for effect you might want to make it clearer.

It's this simple. Brown will catch the ball anywhere on the field. Wallace will not.

I guess this is the point where we are supposed to join in and complain about AB not catching more TDs and simply racking up fantasy stats?

Focus complaints where they are deserved, AB is pretty far down on that list.

I swear, it's as if some people have their own agendas written on a paper next to their computer, then scan the threads for any mention of a player or coach on that list just so they can jump into the thread to propound their personal diatribe.

"Did someone mention Lebeau? HOW'S THAT COMPLICATED DEFENSE WORKING FOR US NOW?!??"

"Did someone say Ben? WHY ARE YOU PERSECUTING HIM?!?"

"Did someone say something I disagree with??!?!"

Brown has proven to be better. heez not a lazy gay basher.. if he likes to pump himself up with some character on 1st downs, go for it.. the crowd likes it and his team mates seem to get fired up.... heez getting the job done.. some are saying AB is the #1 wr in the league.. keep rooting for "I lose focus when the ball doesn't come to me enuff, wallace"

Like almost every major FA, Mike Wallace was overpaid. He does not have great personal stats, but his team is doing better than the Steelers. Also, as mentioned, he is working with a new QB.

I don't personally care for Wallace, but I also don't care for the way the situation was handled. Wallace walked for essentially nothing. The Steelers will likely get a comp pick next year, but it led ot them trading away what now looks to be a high third round pick for Schmarko.

Wallace was a player with a unique talent on a team that could use more talent. When somebody like that walks for nothing, it leaves a hole that needs to be filled. The Steelers are a team with many needs, and a WR is among those needs. After one win against the Jets (a win in which AB dropped a TD), people seem to forget that nobody respected the Steelers WRs. Aside from the lowly Vikings, the passing game was a liability early in the year, as was the entire offense.

It takes two to tango. Wallace was a FREE AGENT. He chose to leave.

He was free to leave. This year. But the Steelers could have tagged him and traded him, or traded him the year before when it was apparent that he was not going to return.
