I agree with what you are saying, which is why I hate the constant movement of the OL during the summer. Adams and Gilbert flipped sides, trying everyone at every different position - guards at center etc.
When it comes to the OL, I'd like to see the coaches determine their starting five and then keep them together, side-by-side, throughout the spring and summer. This is where they have to earn their paychecks - by evaluating who will be their best and then doing everything they can to make that happen.
Bingo... musical chairs on OL is why they stink. I bet you our OL would look twice as good (not hard to do) if they stopped flipping them every summer and let them gel at 1 position.
