You have to start somewhere. Yesterday was a good start. The team not only got the win, but a couple of those "splash" plays on both sides of the ball. The next game is a big one- at home against the defending champs and archrivals. The Ravens are another mediocre team this year, but they will be inspired not only to play the Steelers but also after a disappointing outing yesterday. They don't want to find themselves in the AFCN basement with us.

There is potential to build something with this team, but it's going to be a week-by-week process.

The AFCN is down this year and if we protect the ball we can play with any team in the AFCN.

The way things are now, I don't see a wild card team coming from the North. It will be key to win the division.

bull... it' basically takes sweeping the 5 division games... then playing on par with the rest of the division for the remainder.

in other words, if our 4-loss Steelers sweeps the 3-loss ravens, they suddenly have 5 losses... if the ravens go .500, we need to do the same on our 6 non-division games

at this point, it's still possible to win this divsion at 8-8... just sayin'

and I think we can win the division... it's not like these other teams are running away from us.

We'll know after Sunday, win and it's possible, lose and it's very, very, very unlikely. I believe the Steeler season hangs in the balance this Sunday.

Beating a division opponent at home is always big. After the start to this season, it's bigger than ever.
