    The clock

Why did the clock stop after the catch on the sideline? If he's out of bounds its incomplete. If its a catch he's down on the field the final 6 seconds should have run off the clock. I'm confused.

Exactly- I was saying the same damn thing. If he was in bounds, which he was, then the clock would continue. When he got hurt, the rules say that if the team is losing and driving for a score and there's an 'injury', there is a 10 sec. run off if all 3 TO's are all, allowing for a 4th TO....

I call foul.......there should have been no FG attempt.. Score should be 9-3..

    Rulebook-

Timing in Final Two Minutes of Each Half

    1. On kickoff, clock does not start until the ball has been legally touched by player of either team in the field of play. (In all other cases, clock starts with kickoff.)
    2. A team cannot buy an excess time out for a penalty. However, a fourth time out is allowed without penalty for an injured player, who must be removed immediately. A fifth time out or more is allowed for an injury and a five-yard penalty is assessed if the clock was running. Additionally, if the clock was running and the score is tied or the team in possession is losing, the ball cannot be put in play for at least 10 seconds on the fourth or more time out. The half or game can end while those 10 seconds are run off on the clock.
    3. If the defensive team is behind in the score and commits a foul when it has no time outs left in the final 40 seconds of either half, the offensive team can decline the penalty for the foul and have the time on the clock expire.
    4. Fouls that occur in the last five minutes of the fourth quarter as well as the last two minutes of the first half will result in the clock starting on the snap.

I get what you are saying but it really sucks the Steelers need such "help" to win a game.....a defense that lets an opponent drive the field in under a minute doesn't deserve a break, really....

I don't see this at all. Hill got one foot down in bounds and then one hand down in bounds, then his elbow hit out of bounds. One foot and one hand down in bounds is not down by contact, so the clock should not have kept running. It was a good catch, and the clocked stopped because he went out of bounds.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Are you saying if this happens in the middle if the field he would have been able to get up and run?

On a serious note, the clock stopped running because of the continuation of the play was out of bounds I think.

Question was asked in Tomlin's PC. He didn't give an answer. Ruthless, he was contacted there by Polamalu, so if he was in bounds with the catch, he's in bounds and the clock would normally keep running even though he slid out of bounds and was injured.

Announcers: "If his wrist/arm hit the ground after the foot, he was ruled down in the field."

So, the clock should have kept running, right?

They also said, "If it was just his hand (and foot) that was down before he went out of bound, it was an incomplete pass.

NFL rules are funny, but I would assume that if he was tackled (that awesome hit by Troy) in bounds, before crossing that crazy line that marks out of bounds, the clock would continue to wind. I mean he was tackled, right?

His hand came down in but the elbow was out, therefore he went out of bounds after the catch.
