Besides, Tomlin just talked about accountability. Bringing back some roody poo like Starks would only undermine that mindset.

Maybe... but I'm not so sure. Starks has been Adams bad this year on 2 teams. Maybe Starks plays for Ben but if he plays like he has this year you will see why he was released by 2 teams in 3 weeks.

He's not. But if he is barely better (which I think is the case), it doesn't change the fact that our line sucks. I've suggested trying something completely new (exploring the possibility of Foster or Decastro stepping in there), and allowing that (if they can prove capable) to spark an attitude adjustment that could improve our line. Imagine if Decastro was able to pull off an Alan Faneca that one year, when he stepped up for the team and took over at LT. It would show leadership, sacrifice, AND AN URGENCY that could be infectious.

That is the kind of change we need--a leadership lift. Not replacing a hot pile of $h!t with a warm pile of sh1+.

I doubt Starks comes back after the Levi trade. Saw him a bit in one of the Rams games, and he looked brutal, but was also cold off the bench.

If Whimper doesn't go to make room for Levi, I'd still prefer Max to Whimper. If they didn't trust Whimper in the Vikings game despite Adams getting abused, he has no business being on an NFL roster.
