We Need to Pull DeCastro More

I ran across this article on a breakdown of Steeler blocking responsibilities on some running plays in the Bear's game. They specifically talk about how well DeCastro pulls. A couple of interesting items in the article. One is that when Foster pulls he keeps his head down which causes him to miss blocks. The other is how often Sanders is mentioned on how well he blocks.

They even show how well he handled Peppers 1 on 1 during 1 play. That's something Adams couldn't do for most of the night with a lot of the pressure coming from Ben's left all night.

Gilby may not work hard, but I think he's the more talented of the 2 tackles. As I see him progressing and Adams regressing, I wonder if the Steelers pulled the plug on Gilby on the left too soon? It's almost like the Steelers have the entire OLine completely backward and both tackles and guards should flip sides. Seems like it would even be more natural to have Foster on the right and DD pulling from the left.

I know switching players now would be a cluster fudge, but I'd roll with L-R - Gilby, DD, Fernando, Foster, and Beachum/Adams.
