Favorite Steeler ... Past and Present

Wonder what others think....I used to love Lynn Swann when I was little but that has since changed to Jack Lambert as I have grown more defensive minded over the years. I would have said James Harrison but he is now history so my new favorite Steeler is Le'Veon Bellcow cause he is a Spartan and Im hoping he brings a resurgence in our pathetic running game.

I gotta roll with MEAN JOE GREENE, 2nd Would be TERRY BRADSHAW.. and present time. BIG BEN and HINES WARD were the ones that got me into Steelers football.. but i say i got a man crush on LE'VEON BELL.. I just got that hunch he's going to be something special. I like Big backs.. I just got that gut feeling about him doing big things eventually..

Troy Polamalu. I have never seen anyone play the way he plays. His humility and heart for people just impresses me.

I have jerseys of Mean Joe, Ward, Ben, Troy, and Farrior, so they must be my favs. Although I have a soft spot for a lot of players over the years.

I was born in the mid 70's so the first 4 Super Bowls took place during my pre-kindergarten years, so I have no direct recollection of watching those teams play firsthand (aside from highlights of course). When I first developed my Steeler addiction, Greg Lloyd was my guy. I have since gone back and bought throwbacks for Mel Blount and Ernie Stautner, though.

In terms of the last 2 Super Bowl teams, Hines was my guy. If I had to pick from guys currently on our roster, I'd have to go with Heath, Troy, and Ben. I've had pre draft man crushes on David DeCastro and Jarvis Jones recently, and was overjoyed when we were able to draft both of them.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
