I was just about to ask when this was going to be announced.

Why Alexander? I didnt see anything too impressive there. Looks like Ta'amu is thru as a Steelers, I guess they figure they have plenty of guys who can play that position now. Im glad they kept Baxter, Arnfeldt, and JBrown.

Not sure what to make about Hawthorne. Why not put a guy like that on the PS?

They drafted him so they clearly saw something in him. He was injured prior to camp and missed most of TC after minor surgery. Why just let him go completely at this point? He didn't have enough time to show whether he could really play or not. I wonder if he comes back to the 53 if Spaeth is put on the IR tomorrow?

Seems a bit odd to draft a guy and cut him without really allowing him any time to show his worth.

Thought the Arnfelt kid had an outside chance to make the 53 and J Brown as well, so good to see them stick around. Hubbard is a little undersized and a project.

Thought Hawthorne would be on the PS for sure. Very athletic and the coaching staff had spoken highly of him, just knew he needed some work, especially after being injury. Odd. Would have kept him over Alexander.

They're either going to put Hawthorne on the 53 after Spaeth goes on IR or he showed some bad tendencies while hurt. We'll find out tomorrow....

I was thinking something similar...Hawthorne makes the PS after someone gets elevated to the 53, after Spaeth goes on the IR. Who gets elevated...? My guess is a linebaxter.

I like Arnfelt, Baxter, Long, and Brown a lot and think these 4 have some long term upside. I'm still really surprised Arnfelt didnt make the 53.

If it were not for the bizarro injuries, he may have done...
