Everything is a little funny, especially when it shouldn't be. It's a coping mechanism. I think it works for the majority of people. It keeps the top comics in business.
It's no different than after the NASA Challenger explosion, asking what color the astronauts' eyes were? They were blue. One blew this way, the other blew the other way. People with blue eyes died that day...tragic.
The more taboo the topic, the funnier it is sometimes. It's possible to laugh and feel bad about something simultaneously. At least that seems to blend well in my head.sigpicComment
