Chidi Iwuoma back with Steelers as scout

Former Steelers Special Teams Ace Chidi Iwuoma Back With Team As BLESTO Scout

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Tuesday that they have hired former cornerback Chidi Iwuoma to the personnel department as a BLESTO scout and that Mike Butler will now become a college scout. Iwuoma was originally signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in 2001 out of California, but played for the Steelers from 2002-2006. While he never started a game for the Steelers on the defensive side of the football, he was a special teams ace and he served as the special teams co-captain in both 2004 and 2005. During his time in Pittsburgh, Iwuoma registered 62 special teams tackles.

Chidi Chidi Bang Bang!!! Welcome back to the family...

An interesting group of scouts now, including former Steeler special teams ace Chidi Iwuoma, former Steeler TE Mark Bruener, Hall-of-Fame Steeler cornerback Jack Butler's son (Jack also worked in our scouting department and was one of the original founders of BLESTO), and Steeler GM Kevin Colbert's son as well.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
