Re: Steelers @ Jaguars Prediction Thread
I have never said he isn't part of the problem. I have said he isn't the whole problem and that simply firing your OC mid season as a scapegoat for a more complex set of issues is unlikely to create a positive outcome. I have also said we don't really know if he is creating excellent gameplans and the execution is falling short. I rarely support knee jerk reactionary decisions like that in anything because experience has shown they typically do not create positive outcomes. You may support the "Al Davis management style" but I hope the Steelers never do.
You read this board enough to know that I strongly advocate using the TEs much, much more than we do. Arians intimated he would and in that respect he has failed to meet my expectations--which like yours mean nothing to the Steelers.
Seriously, all venting aside--Do you really think doing a mid season replacement where the talent pool you would draw from is out of work (ask yourself why) offensive coordinators is going to get you an improved offense. Like I said the only change that would make sense is Ken Anderson taking over and what is record of success?
