Worst Draft in Last 10 Years?

NFL GM says so. Contradicts what I've been hearing on this board.

Our 2008 draft. Nothing even close.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

I think the article may be correct in not having a ton of impact players, but there are solid contributors deep into the draft. Its just not a "sexy" 1st round I think was the article's main point imo. Every team needs those solid starters and I think there are more than enough in this draft.
      1. C.J. Mosley LB Alabama
      2. Jordan Matthews WR Vanderbilt
      3. (comp) Philip Gaines CB Rice
      4. Arthur Lynch TE Georgia
      5. Ross Cockrell CB Duke
      5. (comp) Derrick Hopkins DT Virginia Tech
      6. Josh Mauro DE Stanford
      6. (comp) Shaquil Barrett OLB Colorado State
      7. Quincy Enunwa WR Nebraska

Yup...thin at the top for sure (the "elite" prospects in this draft simply don't compare to elite players in past drafts), but overall it's a deep draft class. Rounds 2-3 should be stronger than usual, and I've heard that there are more draftable players at the end of the draft, so we could be able to get UDFA's that would otherwise be late round picks in other drafts.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

This will be a great draft for o-line and d-line. Just not as good for the skill queer positions.

Yeah, there appears to be no franchise QB in the draft, nor does there appear to be an elite RB or WR. I think most here could say that without talking to a GM.

I think to say it's the worst in the last 10 years is a stretch. Look at 2009:

Aside from Stafford, the first few rounds were pretty poor.

I think this draft class is stacked from the 2nd round on down...
