The Steelers have a long history of moving linebackers... Timmons and Farrior were both collegiate 4 - 3 OLB's who moved inside for them. Chad Brown played inside and out for the Steelers over the course of his career. They never have subscribed to the idea that a guy is stuck at or solely suitable for a single position in the LB corps... at least not under Cowher or Tomlin.

That's what Timmons/Spence would be. Heck even Timmons/Foote kinda are.

As much as teams throw the ball, the need for a thumper becomes antiquated to a degree. Outside of a handful of teams, there's no commitment to running the ball anymore. So how often do you really want a pure Buck on the field in today's game.

When they drafted Spence, I was really excited because I had this feeling that the Steelers D was ahead of the curve on this one.

And Timmons/Foote suck together... That's exactly why ILB is a consideration at all in the first...

Remember when in the past, if we trailed and the team punted with 4 min left, we knew we'd get the ball and win... that's a thing of the past with those 2 on the field together... This team still needs a run-stuffer, IMO.

expected to be drafted in the 4th or 5th round, he caught 5 passes for 142 yards against Alabama.

he actually reminds me a little of Emmanuel Sanders...

Interesting. Steelers showed interest in Landry Jones too- wonder if this is a result of that interest, or if the Steelers always had their eye on Brown?

Eddie Lacey Visited Saturday, and Tavarres King should be in today. Adding all three to the list.

It seems so. I am curious about 2 of them, if they ever really happened. But I will sort that out if we bring in more than 30.

So at this point the visits are over. We just need to fill in 6 visits that were not really confirmed.
