THAT is why he gets the big bucks Crash.
You dont need prolific you need CLUTCH to be worth your pay.
After his offense was spotted 7 by DLs defense, Ben gets to redeem himself from the last SB to actually win the game.
He should be thankful that he could get the chance, his legacy two rings and all would not get him in the hall if the defense did not give up the lead, allowing him that clutch drive.sigpic

Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.Comment

Not excited about signing the Bean-Man...I just have visions of him standing along the sideline in a sweatsuit, ala Duce Staley.... I'd rather roll the dice with a mid-round rookie.Comment

They will be doing that too. One new face isn't going to change the complexion of what was here. Like I said, Redman will be 29. Batch is a great person but below average RB. Think of Wells as a bargain necessity.Comment

Exactly what is going to happen. And when he is playing he can give us his 2.7 ypc average. Super. PEDs, yea you know me.

It was worst QB rating for a winning QB.
Before Ben? Some guy named Elway was that record holder. He's pretty good too.Comment

You are a bit confused. Before LeBeau's defense saw a blade of grass in XLIII they weere spotted 3 points.THAT is why he gets the big bucks Crash.

He should be thankful that he could get the chance, his legacy two rings and all would not get him in the hall if the defense did not give up the lead, allowing him that clutch drive.
Then after their first series, they were then spotted a 10 point lead.
And what happened after that? The obvious "tired defense" after one series of work, gave up a TD after we scored one, instead of a possible blowout, they put the Cards right back in the game.
As usual.Last edited by Siggy00; 03-14-2013, 10:59 PM.Comment

And what did that balance get the Ravens? The FIRED their OC DURING THE SEASON.Crash now that their QB got "paid" should that impact how the Ravens who are balanced call plays?
Then they unleashed the deep ball in the playoffs when Caldwell took over. And Flacco had one of the best post seasons, EVER.
See?
Absolutely. If Flacco isn't the focal point of a 60-40 pass/run ratio? Then it made no sense to make him the HIGHEST PAID QB IN HISTORY. If you want Trent Dilfer football you pay someone comparable to what that role would pay.
Tell that to teams with franchise QBs.Dude you call plays to win games, it dont matter what someone makes.
Don't talk to me about winning games. All this team did from 2007-2011 was win games and the owner made a HOF QB look like a total chump.Last edited by Siggy00; 03-14-2013, 11:24 PM.Comment

Pittsburgh Steelers Not Confident About Beanie Wells’ Knee
Mar 14th, 2013 by Josh Hill

Beanie Wells went to Pittsburgh for a physical but he left town without a contract. Before being released by the Arizona Cardinals earlier this month, the team expressed concern over his injured knee and it now appears as though the Steelers are sharing that concern as team doctors didn’t like what they saw when Wells came in for a physical on Thursday.
The Cardinals were reportedly “not optimistic” about the condition of Wells’ knees before releasing him. Steelers doctors may have found something they didn’t like as well, as he left club headquarters without a contract. It’s fair to wonder if Wells might need a knee surgery before he finds a landing spot.
The Steelers just got rid of oft-injured running back Rashard Mendenhall, so it’s not surprising that they weren’t jumping through hoops to get a guy with more wear and tear on his body than Mendenhall. Wells and Mendenhall have very similar pasts when it comes to injuries as both have been plagued by knee problems since they came into the NFL.
Pittsburgh is still in the market for a running back but they may end up looking to the draft to pick up a younger back as opposed to whats on the open market at the moment. Unless they make a run at Steven Jackson, it’s hard to see the Steelers settling for anything less than what they currently have for the time being.

Where does Beanie Wells rank among all Cardinals busts?
By Tyler Nickel on Mar 13 2013
USA TODAY Sports

The former first round pick out of Ohio State had trouble staying on the field
Beanie Wells holds the Arizona Cardinals franchise record for rushing yards in a single game, but other than that, he was largely a bust during his time in the desert. Since being drafted in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft, Wells started just 23 games for the Cards. In that time, he rushed for 2,471 yards and 24 touchdowns, but he also had 10 fumbles, five of which were lost to the opposing team.
Because of his fumbling and injury concerns, Wells was released by new GM Steve Keim and is free to sign with any other team. With his tenure coming to an end in Arizona, it is fair to say that he was largely a bust. The early part of his career was much like another Cardinals running back's: Thomas Jones. Jones was a draftee of the Cards in 2000 and only played 3 seasons here before moving on. Whether Wells goes on to have the success that Jones did is to be determined.
A couple of years ago, Jess did a series on the biggest Cardinals draft busts of all time. He concluded that Matt Leinart was the biggest bust in franchise history, followed by Leonard Davis, Wendall Bryant and Andre Wadsworth. While Beanie was not as big of a bust as those players, it could be argued that he is in the top ten, especially since the Cardinals have been in Arizona.
Thomas Jones was Jess' 4th biggest bust, which I think is fair. If we are to use him as a barometer, I would say Beanie had a better Cardinals career than Jones, but it was not significantly superior. Does that mean Beanie comes in at #5?

Let him go ride the pine for somebody else...we got enough oft-injured players, we need some who can stay healthy and contribute.Comment
