All we need is a stop gap at TE, until Heath is back. Bringing in Spaeth or Davis would be a wise move.

I'm starting to think 50% of the roster is "stop gap" players. Not enough developmental players in my opinion. Not enough faith in youth vs. mediocre to poor vets.

The developmental comes on draft day. If there aren't enough of them, it's because the team drafted poorly, has had bad luck, or both.

As DeVille pointed out, the Steelers seemingly always try to be able to field a team before draft day, so they can simply focus on drafting the BPA...
