I think Lewis have agreed to terms

According to his Facebook page, he said something big has happened and he's about to come up and for now that he's keeping it a secret Also went on to thank the Lord. As we know free agent is around the corner so take it as it is nothing concrete but sounds promising.

This is how it was said
Good news, thank you lord, you always told me believe and keep faith and you will handle the rest. It's a secret, I'm not telling nobody what it is either, just know I am about to turn up.

What does the slang word "Turn up" mean?

          1) An expression used to display disbelief, and a put down to those telling lies. 2) To have a good time right before going out and usually at night. Also getting ready to have a good time.

Great news if true (and, of course, if the contract is reasonable). If the Steelers return Ike, Lewis and Cortez Allen next year, the CBs will again be a strength of the D, which was almost unfathomable a few years ago. And with the amount of nickel that the Steelers play, it is important to have 3 good CBs.

For some interesting perspective, I believe that Allen actually played more snaps than Hampton last year.

Again...the Steelers rarely lose young talent they wish to keep.

I work with high school students. I can tell you that "turn up" can be a good thing or a bad thing...but, considering how he's thanking God, it's probably the former...

He probably getting a "come up"...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

The "turn up" thing doesn't sound too cryptic to me...sounds like he's going to be flying into Pittsburgh and will be "turning up" at a press conference at team headquarters to announce signing a new contract (no other teams can negotiate with him until free agency starts, but the Steelers can negotiate with their own free agents prior to the start of free agency, so what else could it possibly be?).

Well, maybe it could mean that he is changing his diet to include more of these, I suppose:

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Yep!! And if this is true then right away they have improved their team from last year. How's that? Well it pretty much means that Ike Taylor is not coming back...and I think at this stage, Lewis And Allen are a better option for the Steelers. Add a pick like Darius Slay and all of a sudden the CB position is a strength for the Steelers. 3 young, promising players.

I hope the Steelers did some quality thrift shopping here...

Please explain your logic about this statement? They are already almost 3 million under the cap. CB is the most important position on a team after QB and LT. Why would they split up a terrific trio like Taylor, Lewis, Allen?

I say they keep Taylor one more year. I think it more likely that Harrison is gone along with Clark. I see Kiesel taking a pay cut.

I don't see the Clark thing at all. Clark and Timmons were the best players on our defense last year.

If Ike goes to make room to sign Lewis, then we have Lewis and Allen starting at CB. Okay.

If Harrison goes to make room to sign Lewis, then we have Woodley and Worilds starting at OLB. Okay.

If Keisel goes to make room to sign Lewis, then we have Hood and Heyward starting at DE. Okay

If Clark goes to make room to sign Lewis, then we have Troy and nobody else starting at safety (Will Allen and Ryan Mundy are free agents, and Robert Golden and Da'Mon Cromartie-Smith have proven to be little more than special teamers that this point in their careers...I would hesitate having those guys being the primary backups at safety, never mind a starter).

I agree it would be shocking to see Clark go (I don't see it happening by the way). I see Harrison gone and Keisel taking a hair cut or being cut.

It just depends on how much more room under they cap they need to tender RFA's. They also must have cap space allotted for the rookies.
