I guess I would think the same thing. The fact that the NYC metro area is cold too isn't exactly an issue. NYC is the center of the universe, ask them, they'll tell you.

Cold weather towns for SBs are madness. Reward the fans, players, etc. with allowing them to go to cities that are ideal for SBs and keep them going back there. No one wants to deal with cold winter weather - it's supposed to be a vacation of sorts, not a punishment. It's bad enough to have a SB in a domed forum that has cold weather, but having the game actually played outdoors in a cold climate is madness. Cold weather play offs games are for the play offs, not the SB. If keeping it at cities with nice weather favors those cities, too freaking bad. Those cities also get more tourism year round; it's just reality. SB should be kept to New Orleans, Miami, Phoenix, Tampa and MAYBE Dallas, Atl. and if a team ends up in LA. Maybe Houston (although that town is an armpit). Fans should be rewarded with warm weather for the SB. Field conditions should be ideal. The rest is insanity.
