After Ben's injury?

It wasn't the same offense anymore.
True, but that wasnt translating into a whole lot of points, was it. It seemed like we were 'efficient' til we hit the RED ZONE and I remember thinking it would be nice to score quick (maybe 3 minutes) every once in a while and get the 7 on the board. Instead of hold the ball for 7 minutes and come away with 3.

Doesn't Mendenhall have the speed for that? Rainey certainly should. Would have been nice if Haley could have found a way to use it.

PFT reporting the Cards want to interview Andy Reid.

Bidwill says Cardinals will interview Andy Reid

Current defensive coordinator Ray Horton was established as a candidate for the Cardinals head coaching job already.
But team president Michael Bidwill just said during a press conference that he was also going to interviewformer Eagles coach Andy Reid and Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy as well, according to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic.
One of these things is not like the others.
The Cardinals have never been known for their free-spending habits, and Reid represents a significant step up in price-range from Horton or McCoy.
Bidwill also said he was “not ready to give up on Kevin Kolb yet,” and that the Kolb issue would be one he brought up with potential candidates.
Reid has already fleeced the Cardinals on Kolb once, so perhaps this would be a chance to make it up to them. The Cardinals gave Reid’s Eagles a second-round pick and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie for the right to give Kolb a $63 million contract.
Or it might be Reid’s realization that his market might not be as strong as he’d hoped, and that he might need to take the first chair offered.

OK, I'll say what I have not yet, but feared all season. I don't think Rainey is NFL material for long, if at all. Sorry. I REALLY hope I'm wrong.

Mendy just doesn't impress. He reminds me of many players over the years who "have it", but don't show it. I hope we get back to a two set backfield with a bruiser and a skat back. With both threats and Miller, our O will open up, O line being assumed.

That's why Rainey was a fifth round pick....

.
Rainey's almost identical in size to Wes Welker. He really should get consideration at WR. No way should he be running between the tackles. Although he has a lot of experience.

He's pretty durable for his size. He needs to figure out how to not take a hit. He should watch some Warrick Dunn tape. That guy was the best at avoiding contact.

I'd like to see what Rainey could do if we had an OLine that could keep our RBs clean and get him a hole. We should be sneaking Rainey behind a pulling DD for some huge gains.

I'd love to have Chan doing whatever for us. Heck, he could be an assistant HC to help Tomlin out. I think he's the offensive equivalent of DL on Defense. I'm not sure Tomlin's had anyone to really tutor him on that side of the ball in his career.

Wasn't Chan BC's recommendation for his replacement. I think Cowher generally did a good job picking good assistant coaches. Couple of gaffes. But Chan was one of his good ones.

Yeah, we need Gailey to be Asst. HC because his record as a HC is so good

Rainey needs to be used in space... every other team with a speed back his size finds a way to get them in the flat or out in space but we are content to run him up the middle.

Agree. Need to make LBs try to chase Rainey not have him run right at them. Reality is though he is more a slot receiver than RB. Team just needs to use him that way and forget the RB nonsense.
